Novel electric thruster for in-space propulsion

Year 2024
Project team Dennis Whyte with Theodore Mouratidis and Samuel Austin

Current spacecraft missions are limited by the performance of propulsion systems. This team is developing a novel electric thruster for in-space propulsion with higher fuel efficiency and thrust density, increasing maneuverability and mission capability while reducing required propellant. This power-scalable propulsion unit could be integrated onto smaller telecommunications satellites up to larger high power crewed missions.
